Breaking Cycles, Building Futures: The Reconnect 180 Mission

At Reconnect 180, we believe in more than second chances, we believe in better chances. For too long, individuals leaving prison have faced barriers so steep that success can feel out of reach. Housing, employment, healthcare, documentation, things most people take for granted, they become overwhelming challenges for those returning home.

Reconnect 180 was founded to change that reality.

Our nonprofit is committed to transforming reentry into a pathway of dignity, support, and opportunity. Through our 90/90 Program, we walk alongside individuals during the critical 90 days before release and the 90 days after, providing:

  • Life Skills Training: financial literacy, communication, conflict resolution, and time management.

  • Employment Preparation: job readiness workshops, resume support, and interview coaching in partnership with various agencies.

  • Housing Coordination: assistance in securing safe transitional housing and planning for stability.

  • Day-of-Release Support: transportation, clothing, hygiene kits, and a warm meal.

  • Post-Release Case Management: weekly check-ins, job placement, healthcare navigation, and parole support.

But our mission extends beyond programs and services. Reconnect 180 is about reconnection:

  • Reconnecting individuals to their families, communities, and personal goals.

  • Reconnecting communities to the value and potential of returning citizens.

  • Reconnecting justice to compassion, fairness, and meaningful second chances.

Every successful reentry story strengthens families, rebuilds communities, and reduces the cycle of incarceration. At Reconnect 180, we witness daily proof that with the right support, people don’t just reenter society, they rebuild it.

Because everyone deserves more than a second chance. They deserve a real one.
