When a Community Believes in Second Chances, Transformation Happens

Every day, men and women are coming home from incarceration, stepping back into a world that has changed since the day they were taken away. For many, this transition is filled with uncertainty: Where will I live? How will I find work? Will anyone even care if I succeed or fail?

At Reconnect 180, we believe that how our community answers those questions will determine whether someone simply survives reentry, or thrives.

The Power of a Community-Backed Program

Our 90/90 Program is built on a simple but powerful idea: if we start working with people before they come home,  building skills, creating plans, and securing housing and documentation, and then support them intensively for the first 90 days after release, we can change the trajectory of their lives.

But here’s the truth: we can’t do it alone. When the community comes alongside us, something extraordinary happens.

Hope takes root. People begin to see that their past does not define their future.

Barriers are broken. With help from local businesses, nonprofits, and neighbors, housing and employment stop being impossible hurdles.

Cycles are interrupted. Every person who successfully reintegrates reduces recidivism, keeps families together, and strengthens the entire community.

Why This Matters

Supporting a program like 90/90 is not just about helping “them.” It’s about investing in us, in safer neighborhoods, stronger families, and a healthier economy. Every successful reentry story is one more person paying taxes instead of sitting behind bars. It’s one more parent raising their children, one more worker filling a job our local businesses desperately need.

This is about collective healing and writing a new story where redemption is possible and welcomed.

An Invitation

Imagine what could happen if our entire community got behind this movement. Imagine the message we’d send to those coming home: “You matter. Your success matters. Your future is worth fighting for.”

That is the power of a community that cares. That is the vision we are building, and you are invited to be part of it.

Join us. Partner with us. Share this message. Together, we can turn reentry into opportunity and give hope the chance to flourish.
